Cultural Resistance is a radical movement, empowering artists and communities to take back what's theirs. We stand in direct solidarity with those facing urgent threats, where we use culture as a weapon in the fight for transformative justice. Each item is a protest, a statement, a call to action.
At Cultural Resistance, our mission is to dismantle barriers and reclaim space and equity for marginalized communities. We focus on spaces & communities in urgency, fighting alongside them to regain control and autonomy. By establishing independent revenue streams, we create paths to economic, social, and creative independence.
With revenue streams coming from merchandise, record sales, events, labs, and memberships, Cultural Resistance aims to create economic, social, and creative independence. We redistribute proceeds to support communities in crisis, diaspora artists, and the continued growth of the platform—ensuring sustainable impact for all involved.
Key aspects of Cultural Resistance:
- 30% of proceeds go to relief funds for communities facing crisis (e.g. Palestine, Congo, Sudan, and Lebanon)
- 30% of proceeds directly support artists from the diaspora community.
- 40% reinvested in the platform, including sustainable growth and an acquisition fund to reclaim spaces in need
Through Cultural Resistance, every purchase becomes an act of defiance and reclamation. Culture is our tool to help communities regain control over their physical spaces and reclaim economic autonomy.
